St Louis Union Station Has been Repurposed

Take a look at “Repurposed” Union Station

On November 30, I stopped at St Louis Union Station to practice on my Osmo Mobile 3 (a wonderful piece of technology for making a video on a smart phone).  Wow, was I shocked at the transformation in the historic and elegant St Louis Union Station.  This video gives you just a bit of an idea.

The St Louis Aquarium has its debut at noon on Christmas Day.  The Aquarium has over 13000 animals.  There are six galleries to view.  One of the galleries is a 250,000 gallon shark tank.  The Global Rivers Gallery gives you an opportunity to view the dyeing dart frog.

The STL Wheel is 200 feet high and offers a great view of downtown.  The cabs are heated and air conditioned.  For kids and adults alike, try the rope course to test your agility, strength and nerves.historic Union Station with more than 90,000-cubic feet of climbing (Sky Tykes for kids under 48 inches tall).  Then there is the Mirror Maze which was re-imagined from the 1904 World’s Fair.  There are many restaurants and bars.  One of the best for more family fun is The Soda Fountain a burger or a root beer float.  I’m telling you this is more than a one day trip.

The Grand Hall is an original feature of Union Station that has been beautifully refurbished.  (I must admit to visiting the Grand Hall before it was rehabbed and a place “to go”.  The idea was to introduce friends from out of town to the “whispering arch” at the front entrance.  You should try it out sometime.)  The Grand Hall at Union Station is now a dining area.
It’s looking like a great new place for the entire family to visit more than once.
