Time to change your utilities
If you are a buyer, and your loan is in place and all systems are go for the closing date, it is good to call for the utility change over within 2 weeks of D-Day. If we are representing you as a seller, we will be contacting you within these 2 weeks to let you know what day the buyers have seheduled their utilities (gas, electric and water) to be changed over. We do this to make sure no service gets interrupted. Once we have the date, you need to call the utility companies to confirm the date and give them your forwarding address for the final bill.
Contact utilities listed below to open/change your accounts. In some municipalities (University City is one of them), the trash hauling is done by the city. In these cases the title company will change the information so it is not necessary for you to contact them. The title company also changes your name at Metropolitan Sewer.

Think of a person you know – a co-worker, a friend or family member – who may need help with a real estate purchase or sale. After thinking about that person, please forward this article to them and call or text me at 314-503-4856 to arrange a personal introduction between us. I love helping people sell their homes.
