Luxury Condos at The Chase Park Plaza in Stl

Every Saturday night growing up, we’d gather round the black and white TV to watch Wrestling at The Chase.  It was the thing to do.

The Chase was built in 1922. To me The Chase and the Park Plaza were synonymous with luxury. The Park Plaza luxury hotel was built immediately adjacent to The Chase by Sam Koplar and completed in the early 1930s. In 1946 the Koplar family purchased the Chase creating The Chase Park Plaza. The Koplar family sold the Chase Park Plaza in 1982. The Park Plaza became apartments and The Chase remained a luxury hotel. In 1997 a group of investors did a major renovation to the tune of $250 million dollars restoring the hotel to it’s original splendor and creating exclusive private residences in The Park Plaza.

So The Chase Park Plaza is now half Luxury condos and executive apartments (the Park Plaza side) and the other half is the luxury hotel (the Chase side).  The hotel includes:

  • 4 restaurants Eau Bistro, Cafe Eau, Chasers’ Lounge, The Tenderloin Room
  • Outdoor Pool and Golf, Business Center, Gift and Coffee Shop, Cinema
  • Salon and Spa
  • Sante Fitness Center

The luxury condos at the Chase Park Plaza have an elegant and spacious lobby. There is a concierge at the front desk during the day. The concierge sorts UPS packages, lets residents know when their dry cleaning is delivered, makes reservations, etcetera.

Messages are posted on a digital board near the entrance to the garage.

The private residences have 2 car garage parking spots.  AND the best part – 24/7 valet service is included in the condo fee (no tipping and no fee).  There are several community rooms and a full kitchen available to the residents.  An outdoor area with a fireplace and grills for the use of the residents is another amenity.  The outdoor rooftop patio with benches and tables and a secluded dog park is another convenience that is enjoyed by the residents.

Residents at 232 North Kingshighway have hotel pool and patio privileges, room service and a complimentary coffee and pastry each day at the Gift Shop.  It seems to have become a gathering spot for some of the residents.  In addition, the residents are just a short walk from the Cinema and Straub’s grocer is just across the street.  What could be more convenient.

At any given time there may be a couple of condos available for sale.  The total number of units is 80.  Some of the units overlook Forest Park and others give you a view of the St Louis Basilica and the St Louis Arch.


In addition to the amenities and luxurious living, The Chase Park Plaza is in the heart of The Central West End. The CWE is a community of urban dwellers. It is stylish, cosmopolitan, avante garde, sophisticated and a wonderful destination for entertainment and dining. Our magnificent Forest Park is immediately across the street.
