Selling homes sometimes requires unique solutions
John and I were put in touch with each other through his attorney. We met online in early June. John is a millennial who currently lives in Chicago. In 2007, he bought a house in Dogtown in St Louis Mo for his parents. The house was leveraged. John’s father died in late 2013 and his mother was not able to care for the home by herself. So John had some long distance challenges to face. After finding a new place for his mother, he contacted me.
We had never met so he was relying on an unknown person to lay out a strategy. I took pictures, got bids and arranged for lawn care. We staged the house and were able to get by with minimal repairs and some painting. John and his fiancé met up with me after the house was on the market. They were in St Louis to visit mom. They were pleasantly surprised at the before and after.
We put the house on the market on July 11th. On September 12th, we closed the sale.
John Goforth says:
Barb was a true delight to work with. She found cost savings every step of the way on getting the house ready for market. She also went so far above and beyond for me. I remember at one point a door needed to be hung at the last minute, so she grabbed her husband and they went and hung it themselves!! Unbelievable how much work and care she put into our sale and hadn’t even met me! I couldn’t recommend her enough to anyone looking to sell their home. Bottom line is she cares – don’t find that much anymore.
Thanks!
