Property Information
9019 Baroda Avenue is an affordable home in Overland MO located on a dead end street in Overland, Missouri. It was built in 1925 and is a frame multi-level. It has 7 rooms. It was the first home for the current owner After 15 years of ownership, her pride of ownership and special fondness for it show through.
Soon after purchasing the home in 2015, she installed hardwood floors on the main level. The living area is open. Check out the natural light when you are there. It has light from three sides – north, south and east. So yummy and comfortable to visit in these rooms.
The kitchen has been updated also. The additional cabinets and counter space maximized the workability. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, gas range and microwave. But wait, one of the best features is the French door/window that was installed.
The lower level is a suite. It has the potential to be a master bedroom suite or a kids suite. There is a bedroom, a sitting room/playroom, closet and full bathroom. The natural is from the south and west. You almost need sunglasses when we get a sunny day. There is an egress window.
In recent years the owner had the lower level professionally waterproofed. A drain was installed around the entire perimeter and a sump pump was also installed. A new asphalt drive and a french drain in front of the garage added extra insurance of getting the water away from the house and garage. The water now flows underground to an underground drainage pit in the yard
9019 Baroda has a newer roof and the exterior was painted recently. The owner loved to work in the yard, It has many plantings, a patio and a fire pit. The yard is fenced.
The one car garage has been newly wired to code.

As another point of interest Lake Sherwood which is near the original Overland Park, was developed as a private residence in 1877 and is now a gated community. The lake is spring-fed.[12] Construction of the earthen dam was completed in 1894. I have been told by residents that it was the site of the 1904 Olympic Diving competition. I can’t find verification of this but there are pictures on the internet.
