7020 Plymouth Avenue, University City MO 63130

7020 Plymouth Avenue is located in University City, Mo. It was built in 1928. From the lions flanking the front porch to the clay tile roof, you know you are experiencing the flavor of the charm of University City homes.
The spacious living room has hardwood floors. The fireplace has stained glass windows and bookshelves on both sides. It has some very good natural northern light. Oh, and check out the craftmanship of the arched doorway leading to the dining room.7020 Plymouth Avenue is a traditional brick 1.5 story home of the 1920’s era. It is not an open floor plan but the flow is good and the rooms are large. If so inclined, the kitchen doorway could be opened up a little but, quite frankly, the trend is going back to a more separate lifestyle again (so you can keep some of the clutter of living a little hidden). Check out this large dining room with southern exposure. Additionally, it has stained glass windows and shows off the archways.
The current owners love the kitchen. It also has good light. The old “milk box” and ironing board closet add storage. The doorway leading to a deck and the level back yard add the comforts of family living. It has a new floor.
The three bedrooms upstairs are again spacious. The master bedroom is 20×13. It also has natural northern light. It has one large closet but could easily handle another large closet by making the room 18×13 with a closet against the west wall. All of the bedrooms have hardwood floors. The current owners found the original bathroom floor by removing the linoleum that covered it when they bought it.
The basement is an added bonus as it is partially finished. The current owners use it as an office and a large play area for the children. The biggest bonus here is the full bathroom.
